Review: Bugs, Bogs, Bats, and Books

I discovered this book through children's librarian, Lisa Hartzell. She told me it would be a good one and she didn't disappoint me. Bugs, Bogs, Bats, and Books was written by Kathleen Isaacs and includes hundreds of recommendations for children's books and related nature-based activities. I used my iPhone to record and the lighting was awful but hopefully the review itself will be helpful.

I mentioned in my review above that I would add the factors that Isaacs believes are important when considering nature books for children. Here they are.
  1. Subject matter and child appeal
  2. Text (e.g., organization, writing)
  3. Visual experience
  4. Educational issues (e.g., accuracy)
That's all for this review. Hope you found it useful.
